What Is the Difference   Between OCA, OCP, OCE, and OCM?

When Oracle created child accreditation program, there was only one designation and abbreviation:

Oracle Certified Professional (Abrégeted OCP). However, several years ago, the company broke the program into four different levels of confirmation, each with own title child and abbreviation. This article discusses each of the levels and some of the differences between what they mean and what is needed to achieve them.

OCA - Oracle Certified Partner

The Oracle Certified Partner is an entry-level accreditation. Prophet Education targets these confirmations for individuals who are familiar with Oracle or with one to two years of experience in the tested field.

For candidates who have achieved this accreditation without any experience of struggle, they are expected to have demonstrated that they know the fundamentals and that they can be expected to achieve satisfactory results under oversight.

In general, OCA confirmations urgently only that a candidate antiquated two exams and has no additional requirements.

Tests for OCA-level accreditations tend to cover a huge range of subjects at a shallow depth. The purpose of the exams is to ensure that candidates have a basic understanding of the characteristics in the tested area and apply them.

OCP - Oracle Certified Professional

The Oracle Certified Professional designation is the next step for candidates who have achieved the OCA accreditation.

Prophet Education targets these confirmations for people who have three to five years of struggle experience with Oracle in the tested area who can perform most activities without recognition.

Confirmation is not really for candidates who don't have Oracle struggle experience. Candidates who have done so will have demonstrated an in-addition to in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals in the certified field and may be able to work without management.

OCP confirmations are based on the Oracle-certified and critical associate level that an antiquated candidate one or two exams beyond the OCA requirement.

Some OCP level accreditations also have a practical development requirement. Tests for OCP-level assertions tend to slightly reduce the range of subjects and require in-addition to in-depth knowledge to respond.

The however of the exams is to ensure that candidates have a thorough understanding of the subjects tested and can use them successfully.

OCE - Oracle Certified Expert

The Oracle Certified Expert designation is the strange man. In a sense, this is the next step at the OCP level, but it is outside the confirmation hierarchy entirely.

OCE reviews target specialty areas of expertise. They are intended to show a high degree of competence in a very narrow field.

These accreditations help define a candidate's area of specialization. This is not a step in the OCA-OCP-OCM level, but it helps to expand OCA or OCP confirmation.

OCE accreditations require a special test and have no preconditions or practical arrangement requirements.

Expert assertion tests cover a very narrow area at a significant depth. The objective of the tests is to demonstrate that the candidate possesses an important mastery in this area.

OCM - Oracle Certified Master

The Oracle Certified Master designation is Oracle's standard in addition to high-level accreditation. It is based on the designation of PCCO, requiring a candidate to be a CEP, attend two advanced practical development courses, and pass a two-day practical performance-based exam.

Prophet Education targets this accreditation for candidates with an absolute minimum of six years of experience in Oracle database administration. Candidates who pass the CMO accreditation will have demonstrated their ability to administer enterprise class databases.

The difficulty and cost of the review as well as the cost of the arrangement required in textual style a very uncommon confirmation for people to have.

Holders of this accreditation are sought standard consulting cupboards and companies with Oracle investigations establishments.

One of Oracle's claims is a valuable addition to your resume. None of them in isolation, however (perhaps with the exception of the OCM), air recruiters stalk you.

Struggle experience, education and other factors play a role in attracting the opinions of people recruiting for Oracle positions. Getting an accreditation and sitting back and waiting for job offers to go is not a winning strategy.
